o  University of Pennsylvania Choir, William Parberry, Conductor

o  Featuring the following Repertoire:

1.  Bach Cantata, “Es ist der gesagt,” BWV 45.  Like the other cantata we sang recently, it has a massive opening chorus, followed by a series of solos and a final chorale.

2.  Three Songs of Ariel (based on Shakespeare’s Tempest) by the 20th Century Belgian composer, Frank Martin.

3.  Two Renaissance Motets by English composers John Taverner (Dum Transisset) and William Cornysh (Ave Maria, Mater Dei).

4.  Chamber Singers – (Details to come)

1.  Italian:  Monteverdi

2.  German:  Lassus

3.  French:  Mornable

4.  English:  Farmer

o  Andrew will be playing the role of “Mars.”

o  Gilbert & Sullivan’s first collaboration made complete with Bruce Montgomery’s score in the style of Sullivan.

o  We took this to England this past summer with the “Gilbert & Sullivan Players of Philadelphia,” which proved to be quite well received production!  Don't miss it!!
